Sean Konnery (born Sean Porter on October 7, 1977 in North Miami Beach, Florida) is an American record producer based in Los Angeles.
Konnery was introduced to the music industry at a young age. His father was an A&R executive at Atlantic Records and his grandfather and brother were both successful musicians in Miami. Even as a child, Konnery knew that he wanted to follow in their footsteps. After high school, he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston as a Voice Principal and Music Synthesis / MP&E major. He then moved to Los Angeles where he began to foster his industry relationships as a session singer. His close work with veteran producers helped inspire his subsequent focus on production work.
He had the good fortune of working with virtually every LA act very early on in his career, including Bishop Lamont, who would eventually give him his official moniker: Sean Konnery. Ironically, Konnery was named after the famous actor Sean Connery by his mother, Suzanne.
Konnery has recorded songs for MTV, Bishop Lamont, Conway, Michelle Branch, P!NK, and many others.
He is currently in the studio working on tracks for a variety of artists including Dyme, J Rice, Britney Spears, Kevin Michael, Conway, Foxy Brown, Mike Ant!
He owns an exclusive private recording studio in downtown Los Angeles.
