[edit] User Page

If users change stuff on my user page, please add a note here explaining clearly what you have done and why you have done it. It is only polite! Sergeant Snopake 19:52, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Death Cab

I notice that in a userbox of yours that you like Death Cab for Cutie. I like them also, and I recommend that you listen to The Postal Service as well. Their sound is very similar to DCFC, probably because Ben Gibbard is in both bands. --robz0r 13:56, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

I would say that my sister is into doing things like going shopping, and when on the computer, she talks to friends on MSN instead of doing things like editing Wikipedia. She also plays the guitar (not that well though) and probably does some other stuff that I am not aware of. I noticed that you were asking about what high school is like, I am in my last year of school but I could not tell you how your secondary schooling experience is going to be like since you like in the UK and I am in Australia. In the future I plan on living in London for a year, just to get away from this country for a while. --robz0r 14:09, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Australia

I would say that Australia is the best country in the world. What I meant by that I need to get out of the country for a while, is that I think that it is important to get out and travel not just be stuck in the bubble that is the Commonwealth of Australia. Australia is a great place, and I recommend you take a holiday here sometime. I would not be worried about the 'poison' of Australia. I have lived here for 17 years and have never heard of a person dying from a snake or spider bite. It is probably no more dangerous than other countries, since most poisonous animals are out in the desert where no one is. (Australia is one of the most urbanized countries in the world). Not coming to Australia because of poisonous animals is not a good reason to not come, since they are no real danger. I would be more concerned about cyclones or BACKPACKER MURDERERS! I live in Mackay, Queensland, and it is warm all year. Last year I wore a jumper for about 10 days, and even then it was only for the morning, so I am sure that the tropical climate of some parts of Australia would be a welcome change from the European cold (though I have never been). I'm going to bed now, since it is 1.12am and I have a lot of school work to do this weekend. Nice talking to you. --robz0r 15:12, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pets

It is funny that you mention pets, since only half an hour ago I was at the vet with my dog who is terminally ill and will probably not last the night. The only problem with pets for you I think would be getting them through quarantine, since due to Australia's geographical isolationism it is fairly strict. With regard to venomous creatures, they really are no threat. I would say that you have been taught that Australia has a lot of venomous animals, which it does, but the country is no more dangerous than any other. I have never known a pet to get killed by a venomous animal, you should be more concerned about your pet being hit by a car. But yeah Australia is great, though it does depend in part on which part of Australia you decide to live. Any ideas of where abouts you would want to live?? Because I could give you advice regarding it. --robz0r 09:07, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

I have never been to Melbourne, but from what I have heard is that it is very nice. I have only been as far south as Canberra. --robz0r 09:32, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
LOL no you didn't offend me about the dog, I just thought the timing was quite coincidental. You have nothing to be sorry about. =) --robz0r 10:29, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
No, she did not live through the night. We were at the vet at like 5.30pm, and she died at about 7pm. She had fluid in the lungs, irregular heartbeat, jaundice, and probably a tumour in there somewhere. It is ok, this afternoon we buried her in the backyard. I am quite alright, and thank you for your sincerity. --robz0r 13:22, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, though I am the only one in my family who has not cried. --robz0r 13:39, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
No, I do not have any older brothers. I am the oldest and I have two younger sisters. Thanks for the idea though, it is 9 minutes until April Fool's Day here, so I better go to bed. I'll talk to you another time, possibly on MSN?? --robz0r 13:51, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Leonard Cohen

I notice you like Leonard Cohen.

You are so cool.

--robz0r 10:54, 15 April 2006 (UTC) Heh righto, I hope that looking Australian is a good thing. I was talking to a friend of mine in Melbourne today and she said it is freezing down there, even though it is only autumn. The temperature is really only dictated by which part of Australia you live in, since I live fairly north, it is quite hot.

My ancestors have been in Australia since the early 1800s so I guess that is why I look so Australian. I hope that my accent is not too Australian though. I'm thinking of going to spend some time in the UK and Ireland so I can soften it. Have a look at Varieties of Australian English, I find that quite interesting. I would say that my accent is General Australian English, but I would like it refined more, if you know what I mean.

(After reading the above I found that it is poorly written but I do not feel like changing it. Please do not think I am some sort of person that cannot write properly)

Ugh. I hate saying aye. It sounds so lazy and Steve Irwin like. --robz0r 12:10, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

Ya I know what you mean. I apologise for not answering so quickly but I have been editing my myspace, the ultimate waste of time EVER. --robz0r 13:29, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia Cat Lovers' Committee

Sergeant Snopake/Archive 1, I can see from your userboxes that you love cats.

Would you be interested in joining the Wikipedia Cat Lovers' Committee?

If you want to join, you can add yourself to the members list and contact the committee founder, me, GeorgeMoney on my talk page.

Thank You. --GeorgeMoneyTalk  Contribs 22:55, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] UBX

Haha thanks, now all I need to do is sort them into categories like politics, sports, interests etc. I stole the formatting from User:Nightstallion/userboxes. I was sick of having them all on the one side, so now I can have an actual userpage, as well as having userboxes without them taking my precious screen space. --robz0r 09:57, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

Yeah sure go for it. If you need anything just ask. --robz0r 10:24, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Homo

Sorry, I'm out of town right now, so no fault on your end. I'll get back to you later. Hyacinth 18:43, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

I'm back in town and realized I could have pointed you to the explination earlier: User:Hyacinth/Style guide. Hyacinth 23:24, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My weight

  • Yeah, don't worry about it. I know. But given my other medical conditions, it's probably better to be underweight than over. *shrugs* Thanks for your concern :) Danny Lilithborne 21:09, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cat page

I fixed the image problem on the cat committee. --GeorgeMoneyTalk  Contribs 00:10, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] First Article

Great work on your first article! Looks like it is coming together quite well. Now, I am off to school. Talk to you later. --robz0r 21:19, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cat committee User Box

I put your userbox in a template. Now instead of having long code, just use {{user cat lovers committee2}}. That will show the userbox you created. --GeorgeMoneyTalk  Contribs 00:00, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for the invitation to the Cat Lovers' Committee

Hi Snopake, Thanks for the invitation. I've just joined. BTW, Dante looks absolutely precious. --LuciferBlack 07:14, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] User Puss'nPurpleBoots

You left a message in User talk:Puss'nPurpleBoots. User:Puss'nPurpleBoots, and all their known sockpuppets, have been permanently blocked. -- Geo Swan 14:43, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cat lover's committee

I really can't see the need for such a committee. I think the whole idea needs to be revamped. The people on the VfD page have a few ideas worthy of consideration.

Thank you for using Sterling's picture in all your userboxes, though. He's quite chuffed about it. Kelisi 16:13, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your request that I explain myself

Thank you for your message on my talk page. As a mere Sergeant (whereas I am a retired Colonel!) I find this disgraceful insubordination on your part, particularly as I already explained myself on the discussion page quite well. Sorry if this message seems a bit catty, but there it is! ;-) --Historian 23:40, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Signature

Thank you! It's pretty easy to do - you can put html code and wikicode into the signature box in "My Preferences". ConDemTalk 18:27, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

Go to Wikipedia:Tip of the day/June 30, 2006. It tells you exactly how to make advanced signatures. (I wrote it). --GeorgeMoneyTalk  Contribs 19:55, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cat Committee

Historian finally resigned from the committee! --GeorgeMoneyTalk  Contribs 01:23, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for the Cat Lovers' Committee Invite. :)

Just joined the committee. Dante is so cute. :) By how you describe him, he must be big. By the way, sorry about my overload of userboxes. :D --Oreos 17:39, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cat Lovers' Committee

I am thinking about putting a new question on the "Becoming A Member" section of the Cat Loveers Committee. The question would be "Are your cat(s) indoor or outoor". If we do put it in, we should make it #4 and put the obsession level question to #5. What is your opinion? Is it a good question? --GeorgeMoneyTalk  Contribs 20:21, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Also, I see you are very interested in making your own templates for inviting and welcoming members. Would you be willing to put those templates in the Template Section of the Wikipedia Cat Lovers' Committee? --GeorgeMoneyTalk  Contribs 20:32, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

I don't know where your templates are located. Can you put them on the page? If you don't know how to, then tell me where to find the templates and I will put them on. --GeorgeMoneyTalk  Contribs 22:00, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
  • Hi, I have add my self to the Project, is a very original idea, and a way to meet other cat lovers, and I voted for the conservation of the page, thank you for the invitation, & I think the commite should stay. Luck! Sarah sofía 02:27, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cat Lovers' Committee

I invited 3 new people to the committee. Also, I see that you are a very active member of the committee. Would you be interested in becoming the vice-president of the committee? --GeorgeMoneyTalk  Contribs 02:38, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cat Lovers' Committee Templates

I have added the templates to the page. Thank you Vice-President Sergeant Snopake for the templates. --GeorgeMoneyTalk  Contribs 08:04, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

Please do not use the whatlinkshere feature to place unsolicited messages on talk pages with the sole intention of stacking a vote in favour of one particular side of a debate, as you did in the following cases. Doing so is especially harmful when you explicitly tell them how to vote, as you did in these edits ("Please vote keep.")

This is not every such comment you've left, but I believe they suffice for demonstration. Many of the edits above seem to indicate that you are not even checking which pages you are placing comments on, as you left comments on talk pages for subpage templates. This harms the discussion process by flooding it with users that are likely to support your viewpoint. Even leaving that aside, bulk spamming users is frowned upon. Please do not do so. // [admin] Pathoschild (talk/map) 13:40, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

Feel free to invite cat lovers to a WikiProject to improve articles on cats. However, it would probably be best to wait until the conclusion of the deletion discussion. Thank you for your understanding. // [admin] Pathoschild (talk/map) 14:10, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My PotD

Will you join My Picture of the Day? The reason I have it, is so images that aren't Featured quality can still be featured. Anybody can put a picture there. All you have to do is pick a day for your picture, and create a page in "User:GeorgeMoney/Month DayNumber, Year". Then, use the following format: Put {{SUBST:User:GeorgeMoney/potd/template|image=Your image.jpg|width=500px (optional)|description=<an optional description>|size=250px (optional)|user=Your Username}} on the page of the day you are creating (Remember for all of the optional variables that you don't use, totally remove them from the syntax). Then all you have to do is put {{User:GeorgeMoney/potd}} on your userpage, and it will automatically make the picture for the day. If you want to have it show your picture forever, put {{User:GeorgeMoney/potd|May 47, 2009}}. Replace "May 47, 2009" with the day your picture will be on.

Also, can you add your name to My Spamlist? Don't worry, my spam isn't bad and annoying like the Esperanza and Community Justice spam. My spam is just news and events in plain text formatting like this.

Thanks, --GeorgeMoney T·C 02:12, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
