"Search for Omm Sety" This is a great book about a British woman born in the early 1900's who believed that she was a reincarnated Egyptian woman who lived during the reign of Sety I. Though most of the book follows her life she lives in Abydos and studies Egyptology, making many contributions thanks to her "special" knowledge of the time and the king Sety himself, whom she believed she had a romantic relationship with. The book is definitely worth the read if you are interested in this time period.
[edit] pop culture
Isn't Seti I identified as Pharaoh of Egypt during the enslavement of the Hebrews in the Ten Commandments movie(with Heston)? I believe he is also the 1999 movie "The Mummy" briefly. I think this pop culture references deserve a mention. Kerowyn 12:29, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
