Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa

Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort in Penang, Malaysia first opened in November, 1973 comprising 514 guest rooms and suites and underwent a major redevelopment and repositioning programme from December 1, 2004. The resort was closed for 20 months to facilitate the project costing £14 million.
The new Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa re-opened for business on September 28, 2006.[1] The hotel presently houses 304 guest rooms and suites in the Rasa Wing and Garden Wing. All facilities and services are fully operational, including guest rooms, restaurants and bars, meetings & conference facilities, beauty salon, health club & gym, swimming pools and the new Par-3 (nine-hole) executive golf course. The opening of the resort also marks the introduction of "CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La" comprising a dedicated pool and specialist café serving CHI cuisine, plus 11 private treatment suites and villas.
