Shillingstone

Shillingstone is a village in the Blackmore Vale area of north Dorset, England, situated on the River Stour between Sturminster Newton and Blandford Forum. The village has a population of 1,007 (2001).
Until around 1997, it was the location of the now-defunct girls' boarding school, Croft House School.
Shillingstone railway station still survives intact on the former line of the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway. It is one of the networks most preserved stations since the railway's closure in 1966. At present the station is under going extensive restoration.
