[edit] Marketing No-no's
Remember this is an encyclopedia, not a marketing engine. Talking about products that make a company is one thing. Pimping said products is another! Hackajar 06:22, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Marketing Follow-up
Shift4 is currently working to revise this page to meet wikipedia guidelines. I noticed that the disclaimer about not meeting the wikipedia standards in the Products and Technology section is still stated as not meeting the wikipedia standards.
Is the current information listed now this section still in need of “cleaning-up” or still considered advertising?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.250.79.246 (talk • contribs) 23:17, November 21, 2006.
- The statement Highest level of security, including compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). is unsourced. Please get familar with Original Research and Verifiability they may help with your furture contrib's to article.Hackajar 06:52, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
I have corrected the text as factual and provided a link to the Visa U.S.A. Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP) which shows a list of Compliant Service Providers based on the PCI Data Security Standard, which Shift4 is certified for. This citation meets the requirements of Wikipedia – can I remove the box in the “Products and Technology” section regarding “cleanup” now? ITS REN 09:04, 28 November 2006

This article has taken on a life of its own at this point and has now been edited by more than one individual and as such should be commented on by the community and not subject to the whim or opinion of one individual. This is not meant to offend, but to be fundamentally fair and maintain the spirit under Wikipedia was founded. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.234.119.110 (talk • contribs) 7:12, February 25, 2007.

- Wikipedia is not a marketing tool. Please show where I placed unfit information in article. Additionally, I would like to see a Cisco employee or IBM employee being exempt from updating articles about those companies. If by "life of it's own" you mean Cox IP addresses registered to Shift4 coproration, that's funny! Hackajar 21:06, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
