According to page 84 (Income Statements) of Singapore Telecommunications' latest audited annual report (Annual Report 2004/2005) [1], the operating revenue for the fiscal year ended 31 March 2005 was listed as "12,617.0 in S$ Mil".
The syntax descriptions in [Template talk:Infobox Company/Syntax Descriptions] state that for revenue, "the business organization's latest year for which audited annual revenue data is available" should be used. I can't seem to find the press release you mentioned, since neither was it mentioned in the article, nor were references provided.

[edit] Claim that SingTel is Asia's largest telecommunications company outside of PRC
Hi,
I was wondering if the claim that SingTel is Asia's largest telecommunications company outside of PRC in terms of mobile subscriptions is stretching the limits of truth. Even though SingTel considers itself the largest based on total subscriptions of 71 million, we must remember to take the neutral point of view when editing; this is a central tenet of Wikipedia.
In fact, it has been mentioned in Talk:List of mobile network operators#World largest table: Number of subscribers that "it is the number of proportionate subscribers, a measure more widely used in the industry to measure true size [sic]".
I agree with the statement above. It makes no sense if every company were to include the number of subscribers in the affliate/overseas entites in which they have stakes in; the total number of subscribers in the world would then be inflated and consists of overlaps.

- Hah! Nice sense of humour. The "claim" was made in Singtel's pages, and although you see it as being "biased", may i just point out that it can be similarly seen as fact. For example, Singtel says it is "Asia's largest multi-market mobile operator, serving more than 71 million customers in seven markets", which is theoratically not incorrect given the fact that the Chinese operators are still single-market ones. I wont exactly consider this as an over-the-top "claim".--Huaiwei 08:24, 7 August 2005 (UTC)
