The Slaty-breasted Tinamou Crypturellus boucardi, also known as Boucard’s Tinamou, is a type of Tinamou commonly found in lowland of moist forest in subtropical and tropical region up to 1,800 m altitude. This species ranges from southern Mexico, from southern Vera Cruz and northern Oaxaca south, to northern Colombia. (Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua) It has an estimated global extent of occurrence of 330,000 km².
This species is named after Adolphe Boucard to commemorate him.

[edit] Characteristics
The Slaty-breasted Tinamou is approximately 25 cm in length. It is a shy and difficult to be seen tinamou on the dark forest flooris. Its upperparts blackish, brown on wings, slaty grey on breast, grey-brown on remainder of underparts with darker barring on flanks and undertail. Its bill dark above and yellow below, legs redish orange. It has a hollow ‘ah-wah’ voice with the second syllable downslurred.
