[edit] Black?
Is it really accurate to say that Slug identifies himself as an African-American, or is it more accurate to say he identifies with African-American culture? While he is 1/4 black, I think he is intelligent and self-aware enough to not consider himself an African-American, what with him being pretty white looking. If there is a quote that could prove me wrong, I will humbly back down, but I think that the wording of this kind of makes him look like a jerk, especially considering the sentence about other black MCs ripping him for that. Also, I doubt that Slug would ever pigeonhole himself like that. It just sounds like a fan maybe twisted his words or created his own. Flannel 23:38, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Slug has thought of himself as black since he was a kid. Read this article: "http://www.citypages.com/databank/21/1022/article8787.asp" It is basicly a huge bio of slug. puppetrevolt 23:43, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
thanks to whoever started this article again, i don't know what happened to the old one. slug definitely does identify as black. as for the rhymesayers thing, the way i understand it, the record label was born out of a loose "crew", or collective of slug, spawn and stress. i may be wrong though Febodyed 16:08, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
He isn't 1/4th Black, you can tell right off. If there is EVEN a Black Grandfather in the family, he WILL look nearly full blood.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 207.173.110.100 (talk • contribs).
- From what I understand the shade of partial blacks varies greatly from one person to the other. ReverendG 03:47, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Rhymesayers Entertainment
I may be showing even more of my ignorance here, but is there an actual crew called the Rhymesayers? I know that members of Rhymesayers often collaborate, but I've never heard of a set group called the Rhymesayers. Flannel 23:43, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Rhymesayers Entertainment is a record label, not an actual group. ReverendG 23:28, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Rewrite
I tried to rewrite the article so that it made more sense, hope no one minds Febodyed 00:22, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sean Likes Ugly Girls
I don't remember this ever being used in any of his lyrics, so I changed what was written. If anyone knows what song(s) it's used in, feel free to change it back.
[edit] Section
I think this section is entirely original research and should be kept out. Interesting Comments
Sean Daley might have been born on September 7, 1972 (a guess based off of the song Sep Seven Game Show Theme and his tattoo/nickname of Se7en; and 1972 coming from the quote, "...since 1972!" in the song History of Seven's Travels).
Nothing But Sunshine off of Lucy Ford: The Atmosphere EPs is a made-up life story having no truth to Sean.
If Lucy isn't really a person, then who is the mother of his child?
Slug seems to be considered black by whites because they may not be used to rap music, but considered white by blacks because he's not their style of rap.
