Who could imagine that Somoza Debayle was right when he wrote in a napkin that Nicaraguans would beg for him to come back. What the Sandinistas did and keep doing have no name. It is repulsive and it is an insult to the poor people of Nicaragua. The Sandinistas destroyed the economy and abused human rights. The Sandinistas Leaders want power no matter how. They keep an agenda of constant opposition to destroy Nicaragua, as long as is not theirs. Somoza did abuse human rights but he was not so stupid and ignorant as the Sandinistas leaders. After all these long years of Nicaraguans riding the economic/political roller coaster I belive that Nicaragua was better with Somoza. Anastacio failed to be an smart negotiator, by this time he would be alive and re-elected.

The grand daughter of Ivan Bright, who recently died at the age of 92, is Melissa Curtis Somoza. If her mother's name was Somoza, and her father was a Curtis, it piques the imagination as to how the record setting water melon grower became linked to the Somoza family.(Robert McKenna 20:27, 25 January 2007 (UTC))
