Spinball Whizzer is a steel roller coaster with spinning cars made by Maurer Söhne of Germany. The coaster is located in the Adventure Land area of Alton Towers in Staffordshire, England. It is one of the most popular rides at Alton Towers, regularly reaching queue times of over 90 minutes.
It is themed around a giant pinball machine, with the silver cars being the balls. A large variety of music can be heard from the rock 'n' roll genre whilst you are queueing up or around the ride.
When the ride ends you here a voice saying, 'Woohoo! What a ride! When you get back to the station, please exit on the right hand side. Thank you for riding on the Spinball Whizzer. Woohoo!'
