Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong (中國香港體育協會暨奧林匹克委員會, in short 港協暨奧委會) is Hong Kong's equivalent of a National Olympic Committee. Although Hong Kong is not a nation, when China resumed sovereignty over the territory in 1997, it was agreed under the one country, two systems policy that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region would continue to be represented separately from Mainland China in international sporting events, competing as "Hong Kong, China". This decision was endorsed by the International Olympic Committee.
The current President of the Committee is Timothy Fok.
