[edit] Talk page
Please stop posting a "Welcome to Wikipedia" message here. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Squeakytoad (talk • contribs).
- This page is your "talk page", meaning it is for other Wikipedians to get in contact with you. Posting welcome messages is a part of this; if they annoy you, simply ignore them. If you remove them people will probably add them again thinking you have not been welcomed. Also note that removing comments from your own talk page is considered bad etiquette.
- When using talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes: ~~~~. --Chris (talk) 13:49, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- I am not annoyed by people posting "Welcome to Wikipedia". I am however annoyed by the constant posting of "policy" and "beginners guide" stuff being posted here. I've read it all several times thank you. --squeakytoad 11:57, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for testing your Wikipedia powers. You really can edit any article! Your test on User talk:JoanneB worked and was deleted. Please use the Sandbox for future testing.

[edit] Vandalism
Squeak, I think the concern was that on JoanneB's page (and nathanrdotcom's as well), you deleted a large amount of content when you added your message. Just careful in the future to not delete any content when adding new comments to talk pages. Tijuana Brass¡Épa!-E@ 07:41, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
Please refrain from removing content from Wikipedia, as you did to User talk:nathanrdotcom. It is considered vandalism. If you want to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.
Warning aside, deleting text is vandalism. When you comment to someone's page, click the + at the top menu and make your comment there. That will add your comment to the page. Deleting anyone else's comments is uncalled for. —
