Standard form

Standard Forms in mathematics assist people in identifying types of equations. In British English, standard form is the more common name for scientific notation.
Some example of standard forms in geometry are:
The equation of a line: Ax + By = C
The equation of a circle: (x + k)2 + (y + h)2 = r2
By contrast, there are other forms for the equation of a line, such as point-slope, and slope-intercept.
