---- Background
First computer was a Vic-20 in the early 80s and grew up in the 80's with the 8088s and the BBS scene (WWIV and Searchlight). Received a Bachelors in History degree from St.Marys College of Maryland in 1992. Created numerous shareware (TimeCard) and commercial (3D Laser Photocopier) applications in 'C' for DOS. Sold Linux on 50 floppy disks out of my basement in 1993 during the last recession, unwittingly making me the first person to commercially sell Slackware. Helped found the second Internet Service Provider in Maryland and first in Baltimore called ClarkNet (out of a cow barn) in early 1993.
---- Current Projects
Currently involved with LifeClinic, Inc which makes pharmacy bloodpressure machine kiosks. You've seen them in pharmacies and grocery stores, a free blood pressure check, our company represents about %90 of those around the world. CEO Philander Claxton, grandson of Philander Claxton, invented the idea and business.
And Advanced Motion Technologies a new electromagnetic piston replacement for analog oil hydraulics used in simulators, military applications, elevators, earth movers, combines and more. Faster, more precise, less maintenance, cleaner, stronger.
---- Interests: Nutrition
Weston A. Price Foundation founded in 1999 its purpose is to disseminate the research of nutrition pioneer Dr. Weston Price, whose studies of isolated non industrialized peoples demonstrated that humans achieve perfect physical form and perfect health generation after generation only when they consume nutrient-dense whole foods and the vital fat-soluble activators found exclusively in animal fats.
Weston A Price Foundation report to Congress on Dietary Health Guideline changes in 2005 (pdf 800k).
The below books support Weston A Prices findings and represent a new way of looking at diet and health. Instead of focusing on fat and cholesterol in designing a healthy diet these books debunk many of the nutrition myths today, tell how these myths came about and who profits from selling highly-processed real-food substitutes, the health impacts and an alternative way of living that doesn't support big-agribusiness.
