Sylvia Day is an author born in Los Angeles, California. She is best known for her bestselling erotic romantic fiction.

Sylvia Day is a former Russian linguist for the U.S. Army Military Intelligence. Day currently writes romance novels for Kensington Brava, Avon/HarperCollins, Black Lace, and Ellora's Cave Publishing. She is also the President and co-founder of Passionate Ink, Romance Writers of America’s first and only erotic romance special interest chapter.
