i dont understand why taboo gets away with saying the word nigger in some of his songs. he is of native american desent and belives he has the right to say it. if a white person said it would be all over the news. i am a black man and if a native american or a hispanic said nigger in front of me i would not have it. dwayne.
An hispanic peron can be white, black, asian or native American? What do you mean? If a white hispanic like Alexis Bledel said it it would be in the news too, but if a black hispanic like Eva Langloria said it, it wouldn't.
[edit] I've had this!
I have visited this page several times in the last few weeks. I'm not really interested in BEP, but this intrigues me. Every time, Taboo's ancestry has changed. First he was indigenous American, then he was Tongan, and now he's Mexican. DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY KNOW?!
- In response to the above, according to http://www.black-eyed-peas.biz/ he is both of Native American and Mexican descent. I went to the same school as him in 7th grade, and he was culturally Mexican-American at the time, as to be expected since his stepfather was Mexican. As an adult, his Mexican background is less obvious than it was to me as a child, as his face has become paler and more sunken, and he has chosen to emphasize his Native American ancestry.
