Background: I grew up at Germany's North Sea coast, but have been working in the US since 1999.
Professional: I studied biochemistry and molecular biology and am currently teaching botany and bioinformatics at college level.
Online hobbies: I have been active in fandom based on Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern® book series since 2000 and have been an ODP editor since 2005.
