Talk:Tel Aviv Central Bus Station
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Can anyone expand more on the bus lines in the station? I know it serves over 100, it would be nice to see an exact number and the numbers for each bus company, etc. Also worth mentioning is that there was one a bus from Tel Aviv to Cairo (when the station opened) but it was discontinued - although I don't know when (and not 100% sure why). Anyone with this info, please add it to the article or this talk page. Thanks. -- Y Ynhockey || Talk Y 04:30, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- I believe that the bus to Cairo lost heavily, but security concerns may have also stopped the route. I remember that there once was a deadly attack on an Israeli bus in Egypt, although I do not know whether it was this one. There are direct flights between the countries. With tourist visas people can also pass the border and catch a buss on the other side. The number of busses at the station probably changes every now and then, but I assume that a snapshot with year would do. Perhaps someone in Israel can add this information? gidonb 16:09, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

- I'm just looking for this info somewhere on the internet. I mean, I live near Tel Aviv and can hand-count all the bus routes in the station, but that would be a little... well, not very smart. I'm sure the info is readily available somewhere and needs to be found. – Y Ynhockey || Talk Y 21:33, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

- I would start with the website of the busstation. If it is not there, try the websites of the companies that use it. Regards, gidonb 02:57, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
