Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles is a Playstation Portable game in the popular Castlevania series of games by Konami. The game is essentially a remake of Akumajou Dracula X: Chi no Rondo with 3D graphics, but it still retains the 2D gameplay mechanics. The game will also include the original Akumajou Dracula X: Chi no Rondo as well as a PlayStation port of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night[1]. The planned release date for the game is sometime in the fall of 2007.
Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles will represent the first time that Akumajou Dracula X: Chi no Rondo will be officially released outside of Japan, barring the SNES remake. While the original Akumajou Dracula X: Chi no Rondo featured anime style artwork, Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles will feature new character designs by Castlevania: Symphony of the Night character designer Ayami Kojima.
