Talk:The People of the United States
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Can someone verify with a citation this article's premise, that federal charges use the form "the People of the United States v. ___," please? I'm not finding that anywhere. Huntington 17:48, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- "The People of the California" seems very strange to me; after all, California is a proper noun that can't be used with an article. It seems to be either a mistake or an unintentional abbreviation of "The People of the California Republic". IANAL, especially not an American or Californian one, so I have no idea which (if either) is right. Hairy Dude 00:07, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
