The Adventures of Don Coyote and Sancho Panda
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Adventures of Don Coyote and Sancho Panda was an animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera, and is loosely based on the characters in Miguel de Cervantes’ 17th century novel, Don Quixote. Specifically, Don Coyote is based on Don Quixote himself, while Sancho Panda is based on Sancho "Panza".
With the help of Don Coyote’s noble steed Rocinante (whose name Don Coyote constantly has trouble pronouncing), and Sancho Panda’s voice-of-cynicism donkey Dapple, these crusaders of chivalry rode the countryside fighting for truth, justice, and beauty.
Originally broadcast in 1989 in Europe, the show premiered stateside in 1990 as part of the syndicated package The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera.
