The Best of the X Division, Volume 1 is a DVD released by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in its Best of The X Division series, showcasing TNA's definitive division. It is divided into 2 discs, and is hosted by Jeremy Borash.
The first disc showcases the X Division's best matches from TNA's first monthly pay-per-view TNA Victory Road to February '05's TNA Against All Odds. There are 5 matches on disc 1.
Disc 2 shows matches from March's Destination X to July's No Surrender. There are 4 matches on disc 2. Despite the short number of matches, they are basically all of good quality, and are shown in their entirety except for the iMPACT! matches. The matches on this DVD set truly are the "Best of The X Division".
This DVD was be followed up by The Best of the X Division, Volume 2, which was released on November 2, 2006.

TNA originally released a DVD entitled "The Best of the X Division matchs" in 2004, which showcased matches from their days in Nashville, Tennessee.
However, once TNA moved to Orlando they began to largely ignore their past video library.
They did the same thing with their Best of The Bloodiest Brawls series.
On October 4, 2005, TNA released the first DVD in its new "Best of The X Division" series.

1. Introduction by Jeremy Borash
2. 20 Man X Division Gauntlet
- Instead of a tournament, the 2004 Super X Cup Tournament was decided in this match. It is done in Royal Rumble style. That is, the match starts with 2 men in the ring. Then, every minute, a new wrestler enters the ring, until all 20 man have come out. However, unlike the Royal Rumble, when the number of still legal participants reached 2, the match switched to a standard pinfall or submission rules match.
3. AJ Styles vs. Petey Williams for the X Division Championship
4. Christopher Daniels vs. Chris Sabin
- This match was a qualifier for the following Ultimate X match. It is from iMPACT!, so it features a commercial break, which is cut from the DVD.
5. Jeremy Borash explains Ultimate X
6. Chris Sabin vs. AJ Styles vs. Petey Williams in an Ultimate X match for the X Division Title.
7. Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles in a 30 Minute Iron Man match for the X Division title.
- Aside from the TNA Against All Odds DVD, this match can also be seen on Heaven Sent, Hell Bound: The Best of Christopher Daniels

1. 'Primetime' Elix Skipper vs. Ron Killings vs. Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles in an Ultimate X Challenge for the X Division title.
- Very different from a normal Ultimate X match, the Ultimate X Challenge starts off as a tag team match. In this case Christopher Daniels & Ron Killings vs. AJ Styles & Elix Skipper. After a wrestler is eliminated, it becomes a Triple Threat match. After the next wrestler is eliminated, it becomes a one-on-one Ultimate X match. Being as how this is so far the only Ultimate X Challenge, the is the only so far one-on-one Ultimate X Match.

2. Matt Bentley vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Chris Sabin vs. Shocker in an X Division Xscape Match.
The rules for this match is identical to the previous matches rules. The only differences is that in the tag team portion, there are no teams, and you can tag anybody, and the final one-on-one portion is a Cage match, where the objective is to escape the cage.
3. Sean Waltman vs. AJ Styles with special guest referee Jerry Lynn
4. Samoa Joe vs. Chris Sabin
5. Jeremy Borash wraps it up.
