Seth wants Marissa and Ryan back together. He suggests Marissa, who is organizing the Harbor School Pep Rally Bonfire that she could ask Ryan to help her. Alex is worried about her relationship with Marissa and threatens Ryan, but he still helps Marissa.
Julie, who gets blackmailed by Lance Baldwin with an old porn tape, asks Sandy for help.
When Carter Buckley doesn't show up at work, Kirsten pays him a visit. He doesn't like the concept of Newport Living, but she convinces him to keep up their project and to make a good magazine.
At the bonfire, Alex shows up with two friends of hers to fight Ryan for Marissa. Marissa talks to her and they break up. Marissa, Ryan, Seth and Summer enjoy their bonfire together.
