[edit] Plot introduction
This short novel takes places in the distant future, where a ruling class of genetically modified humans attain a form of immortality through drug treatments. This ruling class holds society in stasis through manipulating the human genome and culling any form of naturally selected mutation. Only selected people are allowed to reproduce. As with many oppressive societies, an underground develops in the mega cities and a race of cyborgs, opposed to the immortals, also appear in the story.
The novel is about the negative impact and inherent problems in any static system.
