Theban Mapping Project

Theban Mapping Project was established in 1978 by the Theban Foundation, established by British archaeologist and Egyptologist John Romer, with the goal to create a masterplan of the Valley of the Kings and of the sites of the Theban Necropolis in general.
The project's instigator and director as of 2006 is the U.S. Egyptologist Dr. Kent Weeks.
