Thibaut Louis Denis Humbert Marie d'Orléans, Fils de France, comte de la Marche, was born on 20 January 1948 in Cintra, Portugal and died on 23 March 1983 in Bamingui, Central African Republic. He was the son of the late Henri Robert Ferdinand Marie Louis Philippe d'Orléans (the Orleanist claimant to the French throne from 1940 until his death) and Isabelle Marie de Orléans Bragança.

He married Marion Gordon-Orr, daughter of James Gordon-Orr and Mercedes Devia, on 23 September 1972 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. They had two sons:
