Timothy Davlin

Timothy J. Davlin is the mayor of Springfield, Illinois.
He started in the financial and insurance business in 1981 when he became a Registered Representative with AXA Advisor, LLC. He has provided financial products and services to individuals and businesses including financial, retirement and estate planning: asset allocation, annuities, life insurance and mutual funds.
He sits on the Board of Directors of Mid-West Truckers Association, Inc. and is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Municipal League and the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce.
Davlin is a Griffin High School alumnus and holds an Associate Arts Degree from Springfield College in Illinois and attended Sangamon State University (now University of Illinois at Springfield). Davlin worked for the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office as a Non-Merit Deputy from 1980-1982.
Davlin’s community involvement includes current Past President, Past Secretary, Board of Managers for Oak Ridge Cemetery, Past Grand Knight (4-terms) and Past Trustee for the Knights of Columbus Council 364; Past President (4-terms) Past Board Member, Springfield Columbus Home Association; Past Board Member, Past Secretary for Springfield Catholic Charities; long-time blood and platelet donor for the Central Illinois Community Blood Bank (10-gallon+ donor), current Co-Chairman of Breadline Sunday for St. John’s Breadline and current Secretary/Treasurer and Past President for Sons and Daughters of Erin (http://www.sonsanddaughtersoferin.org).
Davlin is a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 364 and the 4th Degree Bishop Griffin Assembly. He was one of the youngest members to be inducted into the Knights of Columbus Diocesan Hall of Fame for exemplary service to the organization. He is a member of St. Agnes Parish in Springfield, and has served on various fundraising committees during the construction on the current school and church. He is a member of the Springfield Motor Boat Club and Illini Country Club. He has spent many years coaching local children’s baseball and soccer teams. Davlin has four (4) children; Tara, Shalaigh, Ryan, and Mallory. He has three (3) grandchildren; Connor, Cole, and Chloe. His Mother is Norene O’Brien Davlin and his deceased Father was Robert E. Davlin, a principal founder of the law firm Livingstone, Mueller, O’Brien and Davlin, PC. Davlin has six (6) siblings, CarolAnn Walton, Kathleen, Michael, Patrick, Kevin and Maureen Davlin.
