From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

George W. Bush This user opposes George W. Bush and supports his impeachment.

Hi, leave a message, I'm going to start responding here to keep the conversations intact. Cheers, --Tractorkingsfan 07:03, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Actually, I'm not doing that. I can't really bring myself to make people keep checking here for my responses. It'll probably be on your talk page, unless you indicate otherwise. --Tractorkingsfan 03:22, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

Also, if you are here to dispute my integration of a trivia section, please see WP:AVTRIV. Also please bear in mind that I make a serious effort to keep most of the useful, verifiable information somewhere in the article. I did not simply delete the entire section; if it is verifiable, I only moved it. Thanks

I used to have a different talk and user page, but I asked for those to be deleted because I wanted to leave Wikipedia after a particularly heated dispute, in which I said some particularly ridiculous things. Well, now I'm back, if a little embarassed. Not sure where those pages are.

[edit] Please Give Me Some Help

Give me some help here, sorry for the language earlier on... Please give me some input. SSS

Input given on your talk page. Please read carefully. Bear in mind that you most definitely should not create any more accounts, or post anywhere other than on your own talk page, which to my knowledge is still allowable. Any activity other than that will only do harm, and no good. Cut your losses, regroup and see if you can get another chance, which I can't promise you. If given another chance, do your best to learn from this experience and become a good editor, of which there are far better examples than me. --Tractorkingsfan 08:47, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merchantibility

You left me a comment and I replied in January but have not heard back from you. Please get back to me at your convenience. Thanks. Jeisenberg 16:19, 18 March 2007 (UTC)jeisenberg

[edit] This Is Stevenstone93

I have been successfully unblocked. My user page is and will not be as elaborate as it was earlier on, because I am obligated to concentrate on the Wikipedia Project, not my user page solely. It's good to hear this news. How are you doing? Give me a message when you've got time. --- Steve

User doing wonderfully. I knew that he could. --Tractorkingsfan 03:38, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I thought that I had replied to you

I guess that I was wrong. Well anyway, I had a very nice, relaxing vacation, and I am 10 pounds heavier ;). It is nice to be back, however. I'm also glad to see that you are back in the swing of things around here, and that I was correct in my assumption that you wouldn't be blocked. Peace, -- The Hybrid 02:49, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm glad it was fun, glad to see you around here again. Yeah, I'm back too, and I'm happy about it. As far as my incident goes, bygones. But I'm glad I stuck up for myself; I'm smart enough to talk to anyone, and I don't like people to assume otherwise, it wouldn't have mattered if it had been my first edit. No worries. Cheers, --Tractorkingsfan 04:03, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Sweet, and I'm glad that you're enjoying it. Everything is just like before. In this case that is a good thing ;); peace. -- The Hybrid 22:28, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please Excuse My Recent Edit To Buddha, This Is User:Stevenstone93

A fellow classmate wrote the letters "sss was here" on the article Buddha while my school computer was left unattended. Please understand that this was not my vandalizm, but a fellow classmate causing problems and playing pranks. Please understand this situation, I do not want to be counted liable for vandalizm and be blocked once again. --- Steven Suttles Stone

An administrator, Yamla has just notified me that I am responsible for every edit on my account, I do not know what to do, because I do not think that Yamla understands how serious this situation is, and I do not want to be blocked once again. Please make this clear to the Administrators, as well as others, thanks for your help, Steven Suttles Stone.

Situation perfectly fine. --Tractorkingsfan 03:34, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] About Image:Isuzu P'up.JPG, This Is Steven Suttles Stone

My concern is the License Plate Number showing at the front end of the Isuzu Pickup. I do not want people to seize this information and try to create their own identity with this information. Please delete my picture, I will edit the photo with Microsoft Paint®, erase the License Plate number, and then once more upload it onto Wikipedia. What's your input? --- Steven Suttles Stone

Image succesfully deleted, let me know when it is ready to be replaced, and I'll help you with the copyright template. Cheers! --Tractorkingsfan 03:33, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

I decided not to put the Isuzu photograph for a while; in the meantime I have a photo of one of my pocket watches as a substitution for the Isuzu photo. Good Night, Steven Suttles Stone

[edit] Also Regarding Image Copyright Of Image:My WorkBench.JPG, This Is Steven Suttles Stone

Please delete these two pictures that I have uploaded if there cannot be anything done to copyright them, I do not know how to place the templates unless someone shows me how. The instructions on the Template Instructions Page have proven to be hard to understand, and these copyrights have not been placed formally, because my formatting is incorrect. Orphanbot, or the BOT that has placed this tag has informed me to place a copyright on the photograph, but I may still place the template incorrectly. --- Steven Suttles Stone

Copyright fixed. --Tractorkingsfan 03:23, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I am sorry

Hi Tractorkingsfan - I issued a public apology in my RfA and am apologizing here as well in hopes that others will see it. Regarding my AIN post, I truly am sorry for implying that Stevenstone93 and you were the same person. Your referring to as an unnecessary and unfounded insertion into an otherwise cogent argument[1] was right in that it was unnecessary and unfounded, but nevertheless generous (to me) in that it was not a cogent argument. I intermixed facts and opinions to provide various statements, several of which turned out be unlikely or wrong. Another error I made was to provide analysis and opinion on the noticeboard as the initial post instead of just giving notice of the incident so that it may be discussed. Stevenstone93 has been with Wikipedia since January 26, 2007 and others who initiated posts regarding Stevenstone93 in the three months since that time - January 26, 2007 AIVJanuary 26, 2007 Wikipedia talk:CopyrightsFebruary 23, 2007 Wikiquette alertsMarch 14 2007 MfD/User:Stevenstone93March 16, 2007 Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of Stevenstone93 - were able to do so without needlessly sensational language and without becoming a subject of the discussion. I did not set up a basis for discussion but presented the post to generate some immediate attention, which was improper. I do appreciate all the feedback from yourself and others and will use it to help me improve how I participate in Wikipedia. Again, I am sorry for raising unfounded doubt against you. -- Jreferee 18:05, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

My reply can be found on user's talk page. --Tractorkingsfan 21:13, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] You are very much forgiven (copied from here)

It's not a problem, but thank you very much for that apology. A thing I have noticed about you is your ability to fully accept responsibility for your mistakes and learn from them very quickly. I think I could have been nicer both in my response on AN/I and my "oppose" vote on your Rfa. It's just that at the time you made your statement, I was having a very bad, bad time on Wikipedia. I had just had a serious argument with a couple of users and had resulted to very juvenile name-calling, which is very out of character for me since I try very hard to be nice. I've apologized to both of those users profusely and am now feeling a lot better about my time here. Stevenstone93 is just a kid who has some ignorant ass opinions that I'm sure he'll grow out of, and I want to help him, here and in life. He's actually written a decent article since being unblocked. Anyway, your apology is accepted, and you and I don't have any problems. Good luck. --Tractorkingsfan 21:04, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! I did go through all your posts from March 14th on and I think that you responded reasonably under the circumstances. Things on this one grew so fast in a variety of locations that by the time I became aware of the situation and arrived back to the developed issues, I knew that I needed additional input and the passage of time to better reflect on the situation. It was fortunate (at least for the issue) that I had a pending RfA to bring in comments from neutral persons on the matter. Since the matter became public through my RfA, I wanted to make sure that I made a public apology in my RfA before it closed but didn't want to comment too soon with a less than adaquate post. Kla'quot's post in my RfA told me that I probably had enought input to figure out where I went wrong and that it was it was about time for me to apologize to you. -- Jreferee 23:56, 26 March 2007 (UTC) (An unexamined life is not worth living. - Socrates)

[edit] RE: Calton

I know it wasn't my place....but I have kept my distance from Calton for awhile and seen his behaviour get worse and worse and but I have kept my opinions to myself. I have left him be (except for a short "be nice" post last night) but have just been talking to others. There are many editors out there that honestly want to work with Calton, but he makes it very, VERY difficult sometimes. I am not trying to start anything, just letting others know so they don't in the position I was awhile ago and waste their time arguing instead of editing. - SVRTVDude (Yell - Toil) 21:14, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Fair enough. I think the best way not to start anything is to avoid him, as you were doing before. The "relax" message on his talk page, as well as telling people he is arguing with, "oh, that's just the way Calton is" etc. can kind of seem like you're baiting him. That's really all I was trying to say, since it was brought up in the request for comment I linked to that yourself, and especially Gordon Watts, were doing things to intentionally provoke. Anyway, I see your actions as good-faith, but I think you should just stay away from him (not really my place to give you advice either, but there's some anyway). Cheers, --Tractorkingsfan 22:47, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
My defense of Gordon started out as what I thought was a good thing and as I tried to help him, he pretty much dug his own hole and I backed off. Some people just can't be helped and I really tried with Gordon. Oh well.
I will take another 3 steps back from Calton and just kind of keep an eye on things. Rock on...SVRTVDude (Yell - Toil) 23:06, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding User:Jreferee And His Links Regarding My Previous Situations, This Is Steven Suttles Stone

I have read Jreferee's apologies and have viewed his links regarding my various situations over the past. First of all, it is important to announce that the Copyright © Notice is intended to be a "dummy", and is not intended to be an actual copyright notice agreement. I have seen that this issue has been in dispute for quite a while now, and I would like to apologize for the trouble it has caused among other users in the Wikipedia Architecture. Now regarding the "racist" and "discriminatory" comments, I know that saying those things were not acceptable in this formal setting, especially in an online Encyclopedia, although my biases haven't changed so since the time of those comments. I see that you have referred to me as a "kid who has a bad-ass attitude and comments..." and that "Stevenstone93 should be familiarized with the African-American community..." on one of the links, in which on my behalf truly disagree, simply because people have their own biases and their opinions. I also do want to mention that I do not want to be treated as a 14 year old "kid", simply because I find that as a denegrating comment, and I find myself very familiar with what's going on in this world. Simply because I have these opinions doesn't mean for people to denegrate me and say that I am a "kid" in this way. Remember, everyone has their own biases and opinions, and I do think that forcefully offering comments to change my opinions is to be disgraced. I appreciate your help, but I still have to comment on the quote "disrespect" that I have recieved from many others on the Wikipedia Foundation. --- Steven Suttles Stone

That's fine. Sorry if you feel I've disrespected you. I don't really mean to. I think you misquoted me a couple of times there, but my general attitude is that you will grow out of not liking certain groups of people. That attitude is probably not going to change, either. Cheers, --Tractorkingsfan 23:49, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Remember Tractorkingsfan, I hold nothing against you. I consider you as a friend, and someone to help me with certain problems that I may have during editing, daily-life, etcetera. Where I come from, I have a lot of biases, and most certainly I'm sure everybody else has their own biases too. I wouldn't say that I have an "Attitude", I just have a firm stand for what I say and what I believe is right. --- Steven Suttles Stone
Okay, no worries. --Tractorkingsfan 00:48, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
I hope you understand where I'm coming from. I am not a degenerate, I know what I'm talking about, and I know exactly how people react to my opinions and ways of solving situations. I do not have a very "14-year-old" like way of solving problems, I tend to use more sophisticated logic than what is "standard" for my age. I wanted to let you and whoever it may concern to understand truly that I am not who you probably think I am. I am a lot less ignorant than that you may think. But everybody's ignorant in certain factors, what am I to say about that! --- G'Day, Steven Suttles Stone

[edit] Be Sure To Check Out My Newest Article, This Is Steven Suttles Stone

Be sure to check out my newest article, Japan Domestic Airlines. It is yet to be finished, but I do want others to contribute to this article, because there is only so much information I know about this historic Japanese airline. Give me your input on what I've got so far. Also, be sure to respond to my final comment on the section above. --- G'Night, Steven Suttles Stone

I would like to also give you a firm apology for coming off at you about the User:Jreferee Apology Subject listed above. I do understand that what has happened has happened in the past, and that now that I am contributing, there is no problem anymore. I do see you as a person who has given me a lot of help, and I have a lot of respect for you for that matter, but also do want to be looked at in the same point of views as someone your age, rather than being indirectly denegrated by other Wikipedians and Administrators. I hope you understand what I am mentioning about. Thanks, Steven Suttles Stone

[edit] A New Update From Steven Suttles Stone

Ryulong has deleted my user page due to "too much information about me when searched 'Steven Suttles Stone' on Google". I do want to put back my original contents of my User Page, which is stored as a Word® Document on my personal computer. Please see what you can do about this. This message has also been posted on User:The_Hybrid's Talk Page. Thanks, -- Steven Suttles Stone 17:25, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Doesn't look like it. I think that he should recreate it exactly the way it was before, age and all. That kind of behavior from admins is unacceptable, and shouldn't be given in to. When presented with policy he backed away rather than admit that he was wrong. That is intolerable from an authority figure. I didn't go after him as he helped me out one time before he made admin, but I would have almost wiki-maimed anyone else. Peace, -- The Hybrid 22:37, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

I do have to admit, the Administrators' input and decisions are a bit blunt, and often make other people frown or feel bad about what is happening. I will further consult with you and Hybrid about restoring the original contents of my user page. I will see you about this later, I am assuming. -- Steven Suttles Stone 23:18, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] image discussion

I don't know how or why you became a part of the discussion between myself and The Hybrid (talk contribs), but I'll respond, nonetheless...

You have got to be kidding. You're citing Wikipedia:Deletion of all fair use images of living people as the source of a policy mandating the removal of fair use images from articles???

First of all, the page offers a very poor case for such a policy...three (yes, three, as in two more that one...) poorly thought-out and at the most weak arguements is all it contains. This, on top of the fact that the opinions opposing the idea more that double that number (which, of course still doesn't say much, but percentages are percentages nonetheless).

And second, THE FIRST THING THE PAGE SAYS is: "This is an essay. It is not a policy or guideline, it simply reflects some opinions of its authors."

And you have the audacity to claim it "does make fairly clear that the current policy is to delete such images?"

This truly only weakens my already severely waning belief in anything The Hybrid has said. --JohnDoe0007 06:39, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Hilarious. Responded on user's talk page. --Tractorkingsfan 06:52, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Not pissed off, just shocked really...The Hybrid's claims were crazy enough, but then to have an obvious ally of his attempt to come to his aid with such rubbish...my mouth actually dropped.

Yes, it does make sense that "such an essay would not exist in response to a rule that doesn't exist," but the only thing that suggests it is in response to such a rule is the opening sentence of:

Current Wikipedia rules are now demanding the deletion of all fair use images of living people. Please add to the essay.

It seems that such a drastic change to the encyclopædia would not only be more well-known, but would include more commentary. Not only that, but if it got to a point that such a policy existed, I would think any discussion about it would be able to produce not only much stronger arguements (especially in support of it), but also more arguements period. A Jimbo Wales-mandate and only three support points?

Not to mention timescale voting with notices to ALL users takes place for the simple issues of combining Wiki articles, and everyone is invited to go and offer their input. And no one can seem to find such pages for an even larger issue that has garnered so much isolated debate?

Something doesn't add up. --JohnDoe0007 07:12, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

No hard feelings...I appreciate your trying, but more importantly your demeanor. Let me know if you find anything. --JohnDoe0007 07:28, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't mind you entering my discussions. I have done that to/for other people many, many times. This is Wikipedia after all. That is precisely what I was talking about. If someone is alive, then fair use materials may not be used to represent them. Peace, -- The Hybrid 01:06, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

I was gonna wait until after the RfA for this, but I saw you comment and just thought I had to thank you now, so, thanks a lot for your support and comments about me at my RfA! J Milburn 09:00, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
