Talk:Troms
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Roads in Troms county are not poorly maintained. Quite the contrary in fact. All roads have asphalt and are kept open 24/7 throughout the year. Whoever wrote the piece on Troms is poorly informed.
"Because many of the roads are poorly maintained, much communication is done by boat and air services." - Well, some communication is done by boat, travelling between the three biggest towns especially. This is because it's faster than driving, not because of poorly maintained roads... Airservices exists (Harstad-Tromsø and Nordreisa-Tromsø), but it is not a very popular way of communication. People would rather drive on our "poorly maintained roads" :)
Agree, the section about poorly maintained roads is strange, that was the case in the past, not now. Might be written by someone visiting Troms back then? I want to remove that sentence. Orcaborealis 09:01, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
