Talk:Two Tribes
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The release year looks a bit, ahem, wrong. If the single is about nuclear weapons and takes its name from a Mad Max movie, then I don't see how it could have been released during the first World War. Maybe that should be "1991"? However, I'm not sure of the correct year. — JIP | Talk 06:59, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Players
It's probably impossible to verify nowadays, but the instrumental parts of the studio versions of Two Tribes were performed by a large cast of session musicians, possibly including Trevor Rabin of Yes. It would be interesting to know who they were (particularly the guitarist). -Ashley Pomeroy 03:42, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] "Height of the Cold War"?
The article says that the song "was released at the height of the cold war, when general fears about global nuclear warfare were at a peak." This seems exaggerated. Surely the "height of the Cold War" was in the late 1950s and early 1960s -- as per the Doomsday Clock. It is true that in the early 1980s there was some increase in tension (again, see Doomsday Clock), but not to the extent this sentence makes it seem like. 207.176.159.90 06:39, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
