University of Bordeaux

University of Bordeaux can refer to one or all of the four universities in Bordeaux, each of which covers a different field of study:
- Université Bordeaux 1 [1] - natural science
- Laboratoire Bordelais de Recherche en Informatique (LaBRI) [2], a computer science research center
- Université Victor Segalen Bordeaux 2 [3] - medicine and life sciences
- Université Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux 3 [4] -A wide range of subjects (essentially covering everything except science, politics and law): Languages, literature, history, geography, philosophy, art, tourism, city planning, environment.
- Université Montesquieu Bordeaux IV [5] - political science and law
- Political Studies Institute of Bordeaux [6], in French Institut d'études politiques de Bordeaux, (commonly known as "Sciences Po", which may also refer to any of the other Political Studies Institutes in France) a highly selective school for the study of politics,
- Law School of the Bordeaux IV [7]
- Political Studies Institute of Bordeaux [6], in French Institut d'études politiques de Bordeaux, (commonly known as "Sciences Po", which may also refer to any of the other Political Studies Institutes in France) a highly selective school for the study of politics,
Bordeaux 2 is located in central Bordeaux, while the other three were relocated in the 1960s to the Domaine Universitaire, a vast campus located in the Bordeaux suburb communes of Talence, Pessac and Gradignan.
