University of Kordestan is a major Iranian university in Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province (Iran).
Established in 1975 as The Sanandaj Institute of Higher Science (دانشسراي عالي سنندج), first under Tarbiat Moaalem University and then under Razi University, separating in 1991 as an independent institute of higher education.
The university currently offers degrees in 4 Colleges in both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
