Usborne Spinechiller series

The Spinechiller series from Usborne Publishing Ltd was first created in 1991 with the release of The Midnight Ghosts. Each book contains a vividly illustrated spooky story involving a supernatural mystery; there is no interaction but the reader can solve the mystery alongside the protagonists. The books are available singly and in a compendium.
It is similar in form to the Usborne Puzzle Adventure series and the Usborne Whodunnit series.
The series has since been incorporated into the second series of Usborne Young Reading.
