{{subst:repost-warn|PAGE|DISCUSSION|ADDITIONAL TEXT}}
- PAGE should be the name of the page tagged for speedy deletion containing the reposted material.
- DISCUSSION (optional) should be the name of the discussion page where it was previously decided that the material should be deleted.
- ADDITIONAL TEXT adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"
For example, {{subst:repost-warn|Fabiola Gatti|Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fabs}} would warn a user that the article Fabiola Gatti has been tagged for speedy deletion because of the debate at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fabs.
[edit] In need of reworking?
This template may need to be reworked, since G4 does not apply to speedy deletions. I'll change the text so it reflects that the article being warned about was deleted in an AFD, but it may need more than that (perhaps some way to cite the most recent AFD debate?). --Coredesat 08:15, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] "Different from all other articles?"
What does this bit - ... If you can indicate how {{{1}}} is different from all other articles... - in the template actually mean? In one sense each article is "different from all other articles" (Wikipedia would be quite boring if they are all exactly the same), in another it could encourage wikilawyers to claim that "their article about a pub band shouldn't have been deleted as it's the only one that mentions that the band played at the Old Scrogg's Head on 31st February". I propose deleting this and merely saying "If you can indicate why {{{1}}} should not have been deleted". I'll not go ahead and just do it in case I'm missing something fundamental! [edit] Removed from list on Template:Singlenotice
because this template doesn't use Template:Singlenotice, I've removed it from the list on that template. Oliphaunt 00:02, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
