Vandling is a borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 738 at the 2000 census.

(41.633771, -75.469578)According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 3.4 square kilometers (1.3 square miles). 3.4 square kilometers; (1.3 square miles) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

As of the 2000 CensusGR2, there were 738 people, 303 households, and 206 families residing in the borough. The population density was 219.2/km² (566.1/mi²). There were 315 housing units at an average density of 93.6 per square kilometer; (241.6 per square mile;). The racial makeup of the borough was 99.05% White, 0.81% Asian, and 0.14% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.27% of the population.
There were 303 households out of which 33.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.8% were married couples living together, 7.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.7% were non-families. 28.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 3.00.
In the borough the population was spread out with 24.7% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 27.5% from 25 to 44, 23.3% from 45 to 64, and 19.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 90.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.8 males.
The median income for a household in the borough was $37,212, and the median income for a family was $46,250. Males had a median income of $32,250 versus $24,444 for females. The per capita income for the borough was $18,748. About 3.4% of families and 5.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 6.3% of those under age 18 and 6.5% of those age 65 or over.
