According to an article in the Washington Post [1] about Rep. Bernie Sanders, Sanders when mayor of Burlington brought a minor league baseball team to the town. And the team was called the Vermont Reds.
Is it this team? And was "Vermont Reds" a knickname (as Sanders is an avowed socialist) or used it to be the real name? -- fdewaele, 5 November 2006, 21:05
According to their official web site[2], the team was called the Expos ever since their founding in 1994. It was changed to Lake Monsters on November 15, 2005. The team was never officially called the Reds. Quacks Like a Duck 23:32, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
