| Description |
Unknown species of flea, found in a bird's nest (very likely Parus major) near Cologne, Germany, ca. February 2007. Probably a Ceratophyllus sp. (most likely C. pullatus, or C. gallinae; but could also be C. fringillae, C. vagabundus), or Dasypsyllus gallinulae (as these occur in nests of birds breeding in tree holes). Square on paper is 5 mm on each side. |
