Warband (games)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Warband games are a sub-breed of wargames. Whereas the typical wargame has the player control an entire army, a warband game is much smaller in focus, with the player controlling a single tactical unit, or 'warband' of six to twelve individual models.
Examples of this game include:
- Games Workshop's Mordheim and Gorkamorka
- Kenzerco's Fairy Meat
The computer and video game equivalents of this board-game genre are real-time tactical and tactical role-playing games.
