West Garfield Park is a community area located on the west side of Chicago, Illinois. The area has also undergone some gentrification in its northern boundaries but not to the same degree as East Garfield Park, Chicago. It remains, however, a dangerous neighborhood, as violent crime such as assault and battery is not uncommon, especially after dark.
