Welcome to WikiProject Pinball! This WikiProject is currently in its infancy but is hoped to become a source for improved Wikipedia coverage of the great pastime of pinball.

Goals

Make Wikipedia a quality source for information about pinball.
Create guidelines for articles about pinball, most specifically more individual machines.
Make the editing of pinball pages easy for all

Scope

All existing arcade pinball machines and video pinball simulators, and a sufficient amount of pinball-related devices and titles
All individuals with a relevant enough association with pinball
All topics whose association is more strongly with pinball than anything else

[edit] Basic tasks

Make more pinball machine stubs. Use data at IPDB to create new pages.

Create "Beginner's guide to making a new machine stub" page

Expand existing machine pages.
Create more designer/industry-person stubs.
Split up any article containing more than one machine into separate articles
Start creating Year In Pinball stubs (ie, "1995 in pinball"), and begin changing links appropriately to point to them
Create disambiguation pages or disclaimers. For example, the Space Jam article needs the header: "This article is about the film. For the pinball machine of the same name...", and World Cup Soccer currently redirects to Nintendo World Cup.
Create redirects for slightly-typoed article names
Add appropriate Video games by year category to machine pages (for example, T2 is in the 1991 arcade games category).
Add more machines to list
Find images to use for existing pages.
Create pages for other manufacturers beyond the current few
Improve main pinball article.
Pretty up this page any way you can to entice more editors in

Start discussing what should go into the ideal pinball article. Perhaps focus on a single article like TAF and work on bring it to Good Article/Featured Article status, then use that as a guide for other articles.
Improve banner to improve article assessment grade, maybe importance?
Determine how to name multiple pages based on machines on the same name

Banner complete, on all machine, manufacturer, designer and computer pinball game pages as of March 1, 2007.
Standardized current machine page stubs to use {{arcade-stub}} tag as of March 15, 2007.
