Welcome to WikiProject Transport in Scotland (previously titled and proposed as Transport around Edinburgh and Glasgow), a collaboration area and group of editors dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of public transportation around Scotland at first.

Currently this page is under construction and would welcome improvement

[edit] Guidelines

Although they are nowhere near absolute guidelines, we will try to follow the applicable guidelines from the Wikipedia:WikiProject Trains/Manual of style for our articles, as by doing so we will probably be most likely to get our articles to good-article or featured-article status most quickly.

Here are some tasks you can do:

Requests: Nominate main editor, expand to do list
Verify: Glasgow Subway
Expand: All articles related to Edinburgh Crossrail, Glasgow Crossrail, Glasgow Subway, Edinburgh Tram Network and Fastlink, plus anything else applicable
Stubs: Glasgow Subway stations
Update: All articles. Add banner to all talk pages of articles related. Banner needs a broader image. Assess all articles and create cats what are red linked below
Other: find FA and GA articles for this project to set examples as

Consideration is required of the City Union Line. A basic history of this line has been provided from its creation as the City of Glasgow Union Railway to the closure of St Enoch. There is a brief of current use, and potential future use. It should also be noted that potential future use of this line is covered by the Glasgow Crossrail. This is based on the various schemes and studies that have been published over the past 20/30 years.

We are considering implementing assessments according to the Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment parameters. If the members of this project would like to engage in such assessments, please indicate such on the talk page. Also, if we do engage in assessment, it may when we implement assessment be beneficial for us to determine which articles are of greatest importance to the project.

Many projects, particularly ones which do engage in assessments, have one or more project coordinators. These individuals will probably be the members most connected to the regular management of the project. Any members who believe they may qualify should feel free to nominate themselves.
