Miniature portrait painted by Lawrence Sully, Richmond, VA in the 1790's, is the earliest known portrait of a Callis. A photograph of the portrait was given to Minnie Kate · Spaulding by Judge Callis Tate, Clarksville, TN, grandson of Caius Marcellus Callis.
