Hi there.
Thanks for visiting my page. I am a 6th former student originally from Essex but I now live in South Suffolk. I am currently studying English Literature, Drama, German and Music for AS; probably dropping Drama for A2.

I have used Wikipedia for a long time but only recently registered. I am prepared to contribute in any given topic. The task of making the sum of all human knowledge available to anyone is a bit mind-boggling! As a student, Wikipedia is generally the first place to look for information on something, and is certainly plays a significant factor in many students' research. (Though be aware: encyclopedias are not original sources!)

As previously mentioned I actively seek to contribute to Wikipedia within any subject I can. And with an advanced knowledge of the German language, translations invariably form a significant amount of my contributions. However it is of course the quality that is the main crux, not necessarily the quantity. I believe that a need to translate an article arises because:
- The article (usually in its native language) contains far more information than its equivalent in another language.
- The article doesn't exist in the target language at all.
I will undertake a translation, whether it is on the requested list or not, no matter how large or small, if I consider it to be of interest to the English speaking Wikipedia community. If Wikipedia is to be a place where the sum of all human knowledge is available to anyone, it seems logical to break the language borders down! Seeing as German is a subject of mine in school, translation is also a more satisfying and ultimately more effective way of revising.
