William A. Purtell

William Arthur Purtell (May 6, 1897–May 31, 1978) was an American politician from Connecticut. He served as a member of the United States Senate from Connecticut, serving from August 29, 1952, to November 4, 1952 as the class 3 senator, and from January 3, 1953, to January 3, 1959 as the class 1 senator.
