William Baring, 2nd Baron Ashburton

William Bingham Baring, 2nd Baron Ashburton PC (June 1799 – 23 March 1864) was the son of the Hon. Alexander Baring, 1st Baron Ashburton and his wife Anne Louisa Bingham.
He married his first wife, Lady Harriet Mary Montagu on April 12, 1823, and she died on May 4, 1857.
Baring remarried Louisa Caroline Stewart-MacKenzie on November 17, 1858. His daughter, Mary Florence, was born on June 26, 1860 at Bath House, Piccadilly, London — the site now occupied by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority.
He was Secretary to the Board of Control from 1841 until 1845 and briefly held office as Paymaster-General from 1845 to 1846 in Robert Peel's Conservative government of 1841–46.
