why implement TPM laws when TPM doesn't even have to exist? are the companies just admitting their failure to create a good business model? the whole point of a computer is to receive, process, and output information, is it not? why are we creating laws to restrict the computer? the only solution: don't use the megacorporations' crippleware.
these laws will never be successful in reducing piracy, as humans, the creators of computers, are able to access whatever computers are able to access.
people wouldn't buy something anyway if they wouldn't have been able to pirate it.
therefore: harm to big-megacorporation: zero, none, null.
software patents... well, listen to Richard Stallman's speech on Software Patents.
