World Group Securities, Inc. is a registered NASD member firm that operates in the capacity of a broker-dealer.

WGS distributes a wide array of securities products. These products are:
• Variable products are variable annuities and variable life insurance contracts issued by insurance companies, some of which may be affiliated with WGS.
• Mutual funds are investment company securities, some of which may be affiliated with WGS.
• General securities are products which are cleared through the Company’s clearing firm. These products typically include corporate equity and debt securities traded on registered and over-the-counter (OTC) exchanges, U.S. government securities and municipal securities. These products may be held in cash or margin accounts. (Although certain mutual funds can also be purchased through the clearing firm, for purposes of these procedures such products will be considered to be mutual funds and not general securities.) A General Securities registration, or Series 7, is required in order to transact in “all” of the aforementioned products.

The President of WGS is Kim Scouler, making her one of the few women to be President of a Registered Broker Dealer Firm. The Firm shows their commitment to equality in the workplace and promotes women in leadership.

An individual must first be an Associate of World Financial Group, before applying for registration with World Group Securities. Once the Agent has obtained a securities registration, satisfied the training requirements and obtained written approval from World Group Securities, he may then conduct the activities that are allowed by a Field Representative.
Based on its number of registered representatives World Group Securities, Inc. is among the top 1 percent of broker-dealers in the United States as of March 2004. WGS works with more than 100 insurance and investment companies. (current as of October 15, 2002) and the firm has more than 1.5 million client accounts.
