WUBE-FM
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
WUBE-FM, also known as B-105, is Cincinnati, Ohio's dominant country music radio station. It broadcasts at 105.1 FM. The radio personality lineup includes Bill Whyte and Amanda Orlando in the morning, Kat O'Connor and Pistol Pete middays. Hall of Fame Dee Jay Duke Hamilton afternoons, Big Dave evenings and Blair Garner's syndicated show overnights.
WUBE hosts the "Free Music Stage" At Taste of Cincinnati (the nations longest running culinary festivals) and Jammin' in the Country in neighboring Clermont County. Both events bring national known country music artists as well as local and emerging artists to the Tri-State area.
In 1998, WUBE was awarded the Country Music Association's radio station of the year for large markets.
On January 18, 2007, almost as soon as it entered the Cincinnati radio market, current owner Entercom Communications announced its exit from the market by trading its entire Cincinnati cluster, including WUBE, to Bonneville International together with three radio stations in Seattle, Washington for all three of Bonneville's FM radio stations in San Francisco, California and $1 million cash.
