[edit] Internet Authorized Home Audio Retailers
What's wrong with this section? Nothing in my opinion. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Brumpz (talk • contribs) .
- "Yamaha sells its Home Audio products only through a network of high quality, specially authorized dealers." - it's not NPOV, it has "Home Audio" in inital caps like it's something special, and has a list of dealers' general home pages. None of this is encyclopedic; it looks like marketing. Actually, it's a moot point: turns out it's a direct copy from http://www.yamaha.com/yec/customer/dealer.aspx rather than an encyclopedic description. I just removed it out so there aren't any questions about copyright issues --Closeapple 04:47, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Are those all...
of the models and series, etc. of the Yamaha keyboards? TommyBoy76 23:57, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- Nope. Yamaha produced a lot more keyboards and electones, also home theatre stuff. Don't know if all that should be included, though. Maybe create an article with a list of Yamaha products? Dr G 17:03, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] List of Yamaha instrument models
Do we really need to have all their products listed in the main article? Could someone please make an "Yamaha products list" article and link the main one to it? Geez! Matias 01:29, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
- No, we do not need a sprawling list of products in the article. I have removed the list as it is redundant with Category:Yamaha music products. --KFP (talk | contribs) 01:51, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hold on a minute... I had a look at Category:Yamaha music products and there are only a few items listed there. The list of instrument models, while long and not 100% complete, is a valuable reference tool, and represents a fair amount of work on the part of the compilers. While I agree it's too long for the main article, how about putting it in a sub-article instead of just deleting it altogether? The main article can have a section listing just the instrument types Yamaha makes (flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, etc.), not the individual models... along with a link like "see main article: Yamaha Instrument Models". What say you?—SaxTeacher (talk) 14:53, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
- I have no problem with that... However, over the decades Yamaha has manufactured literally thousands (if not tens of thousands) of different models and variants of musical instruments and equipment. Even a separate list page probably should not contain every specific model of snare drum or trumpet that Yamaha has produced. --KFP (talk | contribs) 16:48, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
- The list should atleast show the current acoustic guitars marketed, two guitars doesn't qualify for a 'list' --85.166.169.120 22:31, 3 March 2007 (UTC) tronni
